MAM Software Group, Inc. Agrees to be Acquired by Kerridge Commercial Systems for $12.12 per Share in Cash

We are thrilled to announce that we have acquired the inspHire rental software business from our reseller Elev8 Australia Pty Ltd, providing fantastic opportunities to strengthen our presence in the Australian rental market. While we will continue to operate with the same great people, the acquisition will add value to our customers, our new employees and our investors. We have offered award-winning hire software through the local reseller for the last 12 years and now plan to service customers directly, aligning the customer experience and growing market share. However, for the time being it’s business as usual.

Over recent years, telematics has gained increasing popularity amongst rental businesses and has taken the industry by storm. But what is telematics and how can it benefit the rental industry? Formed by the words ‘Telecommunication’ and ‘Informatics’, telematics consists of a wide range of technologies, used together to monitor, transmit and receive fleet related behaviours such as longitude, latitude, machine health, battery life, meter readings, hours of operation and job site safety.

Holywell Park Conference Centre at Loughborough University, played host to this year’s annual HAE EHA Trade Show and Conference. The aptly named ‘Hire 2018 – Forward Together’ was a fantastic networking opportunity as well as a chance to learn, engage and tackle the existing and future challenges of the hire industry. Exhibitors, attendees and speakers successfully came together to discuss thought provoking concepts that address the unique challenges the hire industry face and help people within the industry prolong the lives of their businesses.

We are excited to announce that inspHire has joined Kerridge Commercial Systems (KCS), a leading supplier of software to wholesalers, merchants and other distributive businesses. Acquiring both inspHire and Current-RMS, provides KCS fantastic opportunities to strengthen two leading hire software providers. We have welcomed the acquisition, as KCS will be investing in the development of our products, as well as maintaining and supporting us in the future. A further key benefit for us is the support KCS will provide around our expansion in the US, UK and Europe, which is very important for us.

At this year’s event, the Hire & Rental Industry Association (HRIA) celebrated 50 years of Australian Hire Industry Conventions! Taking place from the 30th – 31st May at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre the show was host to over 1500 attendees and 100 exhibitors making it the biggest and most successful convention to date.

Vertikal Days, the UK’s largest lifting equipment event, ran from the 16th-17th May and we’re now reflecting on just how brilliant it was. Situated in the heart of England, Donington Park hosted this year’s event for the first time and a record number of 2680 visitors attended, making it the biggest show to date.

GDPR has been a hot topic since its approval and adoption back in April 2016 and has been a key discussion point that the HAE EHA have emphasised at its Trade Fair & Convention and The Showman’s Show.

That accountability can be the responsibility of many and there are numerous terms and keywords within the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that identify that accountability.
